Poor Store, established in 2014, operated once a year out of an old canvas tent during at the Poor Farm in Manawa, WI. It was situated alongside other temporary performances and events during the opening weekend of Poor Farm's annual exhibition. There, the art world descends on a rural community, camping on the lawn around the gallery building. from 2014 - 2019 Poor Store sold useful camping supplies, produced both commercially and by me. It borrowed the form of a roadside farm stand. It is a structure, though altered, that may be much more familiar to the local populace than to this temporary community.
